Good question. I am very concerned about the plight of our pollinators and other insects. And, by pollinators I don't mean honeybees, although I do love honey and the bees that make it. But, our native pollinators (think bumblebees, native bees, butterflies, etc) do a huge amount of the work that provides us humans with over 85% of the food and fiber we rely on for life, not to mention they are food for birds, fish and other animals and their populations are CRASHING! It is a silent crisis. So, that is the Pollinate piece. I want to raise awareness of this crisis and share some ideas about how we can help. Panoply is a rather archaic, musical word for the assemblage of armor that a knight would wear and it has come to mean a collection of something, in this case ... designs. And, well, I love alliteration so I asked my son for a word that starts with "P" and he gave me Panoply.
