Pollinate Panoply
Where the passionate naturalist meets the illustrative storyteller. Where beauty guides every design choice.
The name, Pollinate Panoply, came about because my work as a gardener and landscape designer has revolved around creating habitat for the very important pollinators we rely upon for food, shelter & clothing. Panoply, because of my tendency to collect knowledge, skills and things of beauty. My designs reflect the wide range of interests & passions in my life.
My background is in landscape, jewelry & garment design. The Arts & Crafts movement is the primary artistic inspiration behind my patterns. My work is influenced by the rhythms and forms found in nature, as well as the rich decorative traditions of handmade design.
Every collection begins by hand - in pencil, pen & ink, pastel bleu & watercolor - before being developed into repeating surface patterns. I delight in the discovery of forms in flora and fauna, and in the thoughtful process of rendering nature’s endless inspiration into surface pattern designs that can elevate any surface into a celebration of craftsmanship, natural beauty and joyful ornamentation. These designs are intended for use with textiles, home decor, wallpaper, fabrics & stationery.
Whether I am designing a garden, a garment, gemstone jewelry or a repeating pattern, my desire is to bring a sense of place and belonging to each creation with warmth, whimsy and character. I am seeking the intersection between the art that nature (the original and ultimate artist) creates and my own interpretation of that. I hope to convey, through all of my designs, the joy and peace that being in nature brings to me and to share that with those who enjoy my designs.
Message me with any questions about scale or custom requests. I look forward to discussing licensing of collections or individual designs, and to collaborating on new work to suit your vision and desires.
